Adometry was founded in 2008 by John Dietz and Rob Perrier with the mission of bringing greater levels of transparency and accountability to the online advertising industry. Since our founding, we’ve tracked billions of impressions in real-time, reporting on where they appeared, for how long, and to what effect.  Our commitment to our customers and our partners is to provide transparency in our dealings, honesty and exceptional levels of customer service.

Leadership

Jim Ewel, CEO

Jim joined Adometry in September of 2009. Prior to Adometry, he was Chairman and CEO of GoAhead Software in Bellevue for six years, where he helped them grow to be the leading vendor of high availability software to the telecom and defense industries. Prior to GoAhead, he spent 12 years at Microsoft in a variety of sales, marketing, and executive roles, including Marketing Vice President, Windows Servers.He helped lead the launch of Windows 2000 and also held executive marketing positions in Microsoft's SQL Server, BackOffice and Window NT Server groups. Under his management, yearly revenues of SQL Server rose from $90 million to over $450 million in just 3.5 years. He drove the acquisition of NetIQ's operations management product to strengthen Microsoft's ability to compete in the enterprise market. In 1998, Ewel was responsible for the worldwide launch of SQL Server 7.0 at Comdex, where it won the Best of Show award. In 1999, Computer Reseller News named Jim one of the 50 smartest people in the computer industry. Jim has a bachelor's degree in English Literature from Furman University.


John Dietz, Co-founder

John co-founded Adometry in 2008 with 20 years of technology and leadership experience. Prior to Adometry, John was an executive for the Walt Disney Internet Group, and where he was responsible for technical direction and implementation of Disney advertising technologies. Before joining Disney, John was the VP of Engineering for educational software startup Stone Tablet Education, responsible for all technical implementation and operations. Dietz has also held leadership positions in other technology companies including Primus Knowledge Solutions, Sierra On-Line, and Click2Learn.com. John has a bachelors degree in Computer Science from Seattle University, a masters degree from the University of Washington in Educational Technology, and has pending patents for advertising forecasting and delivery algorithms.


Robert Perrier, Co-founder

Rob is a nineteen year veteran of the high tech industry. For over sixteen years, Rob has managed a variety of organizations across the operational and technical spectrum, including Program Management, Programs Development, Client Services, Enterprise & Developer Support and Operational Readiness Management. In addition to being a veteran of such companies as Apple and Adobe, Rob managed the Program Management function for the Walt Disney Internet Group's advertising platform. Adometry is Rob's second venture with a startup in which he is looking forward to guiding and shaping the idea and the company.

Advisory Board

Maggie Finch – Maggie began her career in traditional media working for shops such as Young & Rubicam and Wunderman Cato Johnson. By the early 90's she had turned her attention to digital media, executing some of the first online marketing campaigns. By the mid-nineties, Maggie co-founded a digital media agency that later became the east coast contingent of Avenue A / Razorfish. Maggie joined aQuantive in 1998 as VP of Media and eventually, General Manager and VP of of Media & Strategy. During her tenure at aQuantive, Maggie also helped launch and manage DRIVEpm, now one of the largest digital advertising networks. Since aQuantive's acquisition by Microsoft in 2007, Maggie has run the Microsoft Advertiser and Publisher Solutions (APS) Business Development team, acted as the APS Chief of Staff and General Manager of Microsoft's Publisher Technology and Media business. Maggie has been an avid circuit speaker and corporate spokesperson. She has received numerous industry awards for her work in digital media including Ad Age's Media Maven Award, B2B Magazine's Best & Brightest Media Strategist, and MediaPost's (OMMA) Media Planning/Buying Award for 3 straight years.

Jay Friedman is the COO of Goodway Group, an 80-year old marketing services company that owns and operates three ad networks, Beep! Automotive, IvyPixel, and SWAY – The Political Network. Since its inception, Goodway has become a sought-after digital media expert by agencies representing presidential and senatorial candidates, advocacy groups and automotive associations within nearly all of the world's largest auto manufacturers. Prior to launching Goodway's interactive arm, Friedman was with Young & Rubicam, a top ten global marketing firm. Jay writes for numerous industry publications, including a regular column for iMedia Connection.

Alan Schanzer - Alan Schanzer is Chief Strategy Officer of Undertone Networks. In this position, Alan oversees the company's client services, planning and insights efforts while working closely with the management team on leading strategic initiatives that help drive the company forward. Before joining Undertone, Schanzer, along with four associates, formed The Digital Edge in 1999 as an independent business unit of Mediaedge:cia. In 2005, The Digital Edge was joined with Outrider and Wunderman Media to form MEC Interaction. Schanzer led MECi as North American Managing Partner until joining Undertone in 2008. Schanzer has been recognized by Advertising Age as a Media Maven, named one of Online Advertising's 50 Most Influential by Media Post, selected as an Interactive Media All Star by Mediaweek and has participated on the board of advisors or advisory board for numerous organizations including the Interactive Advertising Bureau and the Online Publishers Association.
